You only need an AdWords account to access Keyword Planner

Have you recently accessed Google AdWords’ Keyword Planner? Are you too facing issues while accessing this popular keyword research tool? Wait. Let me clear this. From past couple of weeks, there has been some confusion about an error some search marketers and SEO people have received while trying to access the popular keyword research tool- Keyword Planner. While accessing this popular tool on Google AdWords, many search marketers working on advertising or organic optimization received a message saying- “You need to have at least one active campaign to use Keyword Planner!”google-adwords-keyword-planner1

Just to remind you, Google had already made it tough for SEOs to access Keyword Planner by requiring an AdWords account, a few years ago. However, Google later on responded to this issue and said that this was not true. But, the issue came up once again and now more users were seeing this error message over the weekend.

Finally, Google broke the silence on Monday by responding that this is caused due to some technical issues and said that only an AdWords account is required and no active campaign is required to access the tool.
